TurenOS
TurenOS is a batteries-included desktop and CLI workbench for code review, application security, investigation, and remediation. It combines an AI coding agent with local tools, durable sessions, parallel subagents, security analysis, and explicit permissions.TurenOS is an independently maintained hard fork of OpenCode. Some compatibility identifiers still use
forge, including the CLI command, configuration filenames, and local data paths.Local-first architecture
The Desktop app launches a managed localforge server as a sidecar. Projects, sessions, credentials, Extensions, and tool execution remain on your machine unless you explicitly connect a remote provider, hosted MCP integration, or remote TurenOS server.
TurenOS is not a sandbox. Approved tools execute with your operating-system user privileges and can read, modify, and run code in authorized locations.

Platform support
Claude Code subscriptions and OpenAI Codex OAuth are both supported provider paths. Other providers can use API keys, device login, or reviewed custom endpoints.
