# CLI reference

> Use the compatibility forge command for local and headless workflows

The TurenOS command remains `forge` for compatibility.

```bash theme={null}
forge --help
forge --version
forge models
forge providers list
forge agent list
forge session list
```

## Run a session

```bash theme={null}
forge run "Review this repository"
forge run --continue "Continue the previous task"
forge run --session <session-id> "Continue this session"
forge run --model <provider/model> "Explain the failing test"
forge run --agent <agent> --dir /path/to/project "Run the requested workflow"
forge run --format json "Return newline-delimited events"
```

Use `--file` for supported attachments, `--variant` for provider reasoning variants, and `--attach` to use an existing TurenOS server.

## Manage data

```bash theme={null}
forge export <session-id>
forge import <file>
forge session delete <session-id>
forge upgrade
```

## Start a server

```bash theme={null}
FORGE_SERVER_PASSWORD='choose-a-secret' forge serve
```

Use `forge <command> --help` for current options. Hidden developer and internal security commands are intentionally not part of the public CLI contract.
